We have to go back to the sixteenth century to find the origins of Pazo de Barrantes. The history of the Pazo, a Galician palace of 1229m2, is bound to the history of the Creixell family, and have not been separated in the last four centuries. Vines of albarino have shared this prominence with History and Family. It was Don Vicente Cebrian-Sagarriga, Count of Creixell, who started to build the winery which adorns the view of the vineyard in perfect architectonic harmony with the original Pazo.
Founded in 1991, Pazo de Barrantes is equipped with the latest technologies to produce high quality wine. Following the death of Vicente Cebrian in 1996, his children Vicente Dalmau (current Count of Creixell) and Cristina took over as managers of Pazo de Barrantes.
